HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Our volunteers are very important to us, they are instrumental in keeping the Golden Oldies community alive and encourage our older members to keep a healthy and active lifestyle such as, going on theatre visits, dance classes, Christmas parties and more. Volunteering can be an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in an industry that you are interested in.
"I have been a volunteer and employee of Walworth Golden Oldies Community Centre Since April 2009. I became interested in volunteering and careering for the elderly after my late Father - in Law also a former member of WGO became terminally ill. My time at Walworth Golden Oldies has been very rewarding and the support I give is beneficial to the service users. The elderly should be looked after and respected because if it wasn't for them and their contribution to society people like myself would not be here."
Michael Edie, Day Care Staff Member
